We Are Expanding and Need Competitive Territory Managers for New Editions of The Homesteader. We need Territory Managers for the following editions:
Starting in May 2007 we will need
managers for the following editions: Territory Managers are the sales representatives in a given territory. Selling ads for The Homesteader is a simple three-step sales process:
A full-time successful salesperson should be able to visit 10-15 businesses per week, and should be able to close 20-30% of the businesses seen, on average. Territory Managers earn 50% commission on new sales generated and 20% residual commission on accounts which continue to run ads on a monthly basis. Typical ad agreements are for 12 months. Many accounts run for years and the active Territory Manager could earn thousands of dollars from a single sale over the lifetime of that account.
Typical commissions are from $45K to $65K in the first year and $55K to $75K the second year.* We have additional monthly and annual bonuses for meeting sales goals Initial training involves a combination of classroom training, and observation of actual sales calls. This usually takes 1 or 2 days and is conducted in Colorado Springs. Previous sale experience is a plus but not required...
Valid driver’s license and transportation are required. A home office and/or cell phone would be very helpful. Territory Managers are hired as independent contractors (1099s) and are responsible for maintaining their own schedule, paying their own taxes, and doing their own withholding. Close supervision should not be expected.
